The Good Karma Project, established in 2022 by Dr. Contessa Bowman, is a non-profit dog rescue serving Tallahassee, FL and surrounding rural areas. Our mission is to selectively pull the most needy, vulnerable animals from local or surrounding shelters/rescues in need of direct veterinary care. All animals in our care are spayed or neutered and receive thorough, appropriate medical care throughout their stay with us. We are dedicated to restoring the physical and emotional health of all animals in our care as they await placement in loving, forever homes.

Meet Humphrey — From Chains to Cheer!
For most of his life, sweet Humphrey only knew the world from the end of a chain. But everything changed the day he was freed and welcomed into the loving arms of The Good Karma Project — and ever since, it’s been nothing but good karma for this wonderful boy!
Now, Humphrey is learning what it means to be truly loved — tasty meals, soft beds, gentle hands, endless treats, and a foster family that sees the incredible soul beneath his rough beginnings.
His journey isn’t over yet — we’re helping him heal, inside and out. With time, patience, and care, Humphrey’s confidence is blooming! He’s discovering the joy of play, the comfort of trust, and the magic of belonging.
While he’s not quite ready for adoption just yet, Humphrey is working hard toward becoming a Canine Good Citizen — a title that will fit him perfectly once his body is strong and his heart is full of confidence.
🌟 Humphrey’s story is one of hope, healing, and second chances. Soon, this brave boy will be ready to find the forever home he’s always deserved — one filled with kindness, patience, and love.
Stay tuned for updates — his next chapter is just beginning, and we can’t wait to see where his good karma leads him next. 💫
