The Good Karma Project

The Good Karma Project, established in 2022 by Dr. Contessa Bowman, is a non-profit dog rescue serving Tallahassee, FL and surrounding rural areas. Our mission is to selectively pull the most needy, vulnerable animals from local or surrounding shelters/rescues in need of direct veterinary care.  All animals in our care are spayed or neutered and receive thorough, appropriate medical care throughout their stay with us. We are dedicated to restoring the physical and emotional health of all animals in our care as they await placement in loving, forever homes.

Captain is a 16-week-old neutered male mixed-breed puppy weighing in at 21 lbs of pure love, courage, and puppy joy! 💛

After being rescued from Gadsden County Animal Control, Captain showed us just how strong and resilient he is. Due to glaucoma, his left eye was recently removed—and now he proudly rocks the cutest “winky face” in town 😉. Losing an eye hasn’t slowed him down one bit! Captain is happy, playful, adventurous, and full of spunk. He’s living proof that bravery comes in small, fuzzy packages.

• On Heartgard & Bravecto preventives
   
• Too young for heartworm testing (will test at 6 months)
